for Fiddlesticks Knitting 2010
This harmonious trio of scarves uses three lace patterns to create three different silhouettes—a knitterly sonata written in three parts. Elegant and feminine, you’ll make your own music when wearing these scarves! All are worked in garter stitch.
For the Triangle Scarf (red sample - front and back view shown at left), stitches are cast on at the bottom edge, then decreased every second row to create a triangular shape.
For the Horizontal Scarf (grey sample), stitches are cast on for one long edge, then worked sideways and cast off in picot at the other long edge.
The Rectangle Scarf (navy sample) is worked in two halves from border to centre, then joined in the middle with Russian grafting (explained in the pattern).
