NHK45-2 Table Runner

In a strict critical sense, according to Northrop Frye, this may well be a perfect pattern. William Morris: "Have nothing in your homes that you do not know to be useful and believe to be beautiful." This is both. And the design provides you the opportunity to learn lace over the centre section, if you don't know how, and then you add the edging on in a perpendicular fashion (you have used a provisional cast on). The length is infinitely customizable. As shown, it takes 220 yards/200 metres of yarn-- one skein only of the Creative Focus Linen. And the lace patterns are both charted and written out, so you can work however you please. No sewing, of course. Perfect.
