NHK40-2 Cropped Cable Cardigan

Fresh, feminine, unusual, winning-- but then, it's Newton, so of course. The back neck is deeply scooped too, though not as much as the front, so you are portrait-worthy in this piece from any angle. Sleeves are well set in. The body has a delicious cable pattern, one element of which, the garter stitch, is echoed on the sleeves; another element, the cables, is echoed at the welt, cuffs, and neckband. It looks very new, but informed by a deep understanding of design and knitting history-- and really, what's better than that? From Nashua Handknits Book 40, North American Designers 8.
