FW1999 7-8 Twin Set and Center Cable Pullover
Unexpected garments, each unique-- but we are especially enamoured of the twin set on the left. It's simply exquisite. The back of the cardi and tank are similar to the tank front. The cut, the detail, the simplicity, the graduated rib, the single eyelet columns-- it's completely timeless and wonderful. The sweater on the right sports the cable only on the front; the cables are so extravagant that they are worked as separate strips. Sleeves are a great combination of set in and raglan. Yarn used on left was 90% Extra Fine Merino, 10% Cashmere, 96 yards/88 metres to 50g, recommended gauge 19 sts/26 rows to 4"/10cm with US8/5mm needles. Yarn for garment on right was 75% wool, 25% nylon, 120 yards/110 metres to 50g, 15 sts to 4"/10cm on a US9/5.5mm needle. These are garments 7 and 8 from a F/W 1999 JCA Crafts publication.
