1688 Sweaters and Blanket (3 months - age 10)
WEB EXCLUSIVE

If you're a beginner and have a tot to knit for, this is a great place to start. You can begin with the plain drop-shoulder sweater in the main picture; the sleeves have a bit of a cap and the shoulders are a bit sloped, but otherwise it's a st st doddle (the heart is embroidered on with running stitch afterwards). When ready to move on, make the two-colour sweater. Then the blanket introduces you to moss st squares (using both knits and purls) and a garter stitch edging. Make a pair of socks next, and there's no holding you. The Luxury Soft Cotton DK is used in the pictures, but you should be able to use any of the other yarns listed when you get gauge.
