Dale Garn (formerly Dale of Norway)
Truly a classic beauty, with the glorious overall fair isle fabric bejewelled with just the right amount of modest lace edging. The Daletta was (alas, was) finer than Heilo or Falk-- a real 4 ply weight-- so the detail here is quite as exact as traditional Scots fair isles. Like them, Ingeborg is worked in the round, body and sleeves, then steeked (cut open) down the front and at the armholes. Neckband and front plackets are worked next, picked up from the sweater; lace is worked separately and sewn on. This is Design 14 from Dale of Norway Book 126.
