To our publishers and customers

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 31 May, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

NHK33-1 Cabled Vest

Some pieces depend overwhelmingly on either the variegate, or the cabling. This design is so sound it withstands any kind of yarn treatment at all; it looks great in the Vignette (a chainette), but it would look magnificent in any solid or heathered heavy worsted (i.e., something that knits up to around 16 sts to 4"/10cm in st st). Nor is the design specifically masculine or feminine. It's sufficiently unusual-- but with a botanical, tree-trunk air-- that it becomes both sexes equally. From Nashua Handknits Book 33, Quarry.
