The first in my knitted lace series is Dorothy, a simply shaped sleeveless shell. Its leaf lace stitch – a 10 stitch by 12 row repeat – adds texture and a potential color peek from an underlying garment – a camisole, short sleeved tee, or even light weight long sleeves! You’ll find this to be a quick knit – a delightful and satisfying project!
This piece is worked bottom-up on circular needles, splitting at the armholes where it is worked flat. Its trim, a few garter rows, is spawned from stitches picked up along the hem, armholes, and neckline.
