9137 Waistcoat

With the extra-wide cable pattern, it's already an extravagant look. But done in the self-patterning Crofter DK, it's almost a multi-disciplinary eyepopper. Easier than it looks, though; the sides of the piece are perfectly straight (you just pick up for the 'armhole' ribbing from the top part of the garment), and the fronts are done as one piece-- there's no picking up and finishing them after, so that saves time too. Shoulders are sloped so they don't look all flange-y. As shown, a great way to jazz up a calm ensemble; done in a solid, it would lend grace to a livelier choice.
