Simple Raglan Pullover (6 - 24 months) WEB EXCLUSIVE
This is a very fresh approach to a very traditional kind of design. All Mills has done is to give you a wide vertical panel of stockinette stitch on the front and back of a plain raglan sweater (back and front are the same except for the front neck shaping-- back neck is straight). But just that one extra element gives a whole new look to the idea. You could embellish it, of course, if you wanted: it makes a great natural field on which to do duplicate stitch, or embroidery, or sew on a badge of some kind, or passementerie, or anything. But it looks great as is, too. Worked traditionally from the bottom up, in pieces, with fully-fashioned decreases throughout.
