To our publishers and customers

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 31 May, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

Slippers in the Style of the East

Look at these! Who wouldn't wear them? And because Powell's instructions are so clear (17 pages of everything explained), we think almost anyone can knit them. It's all garter stitch. OK, there are some short rows, but you don't have to pick up the wraps. They're worked in doubled worsted-weight (10 ply) yarn.

The instructions are pretty much line by line for the entire slipper in both kids' and adult sizes. You should be able to knit from this pattern for the rest of your life.
