Diane Soucy

for Knitting Pure and Simple

246 Women's Poncho (Top Down)

Says Soucy: "An easy-to-knit poncho, knitted from the top down in bulky weight yarn at 3 1/2 to the inch. Directions are given for knitting without the hood and fringe. 3 roomy sizes; smaller sizes have smaller neck opening." While some things are too hot not to cool down, and ponchos have gone through various rages, there's always a place for good ones-- and this is a superb, simple example of a generous one knitted in the round, in the wonderful fingertip length (though of course the length is customizable).
