NHK18-5 V Neck Cotton Top (Knit & Crochet)

Eckman is one of those marvellous creatures completely fluent in both knit and crochet, and here she melds the two in a beautiful piece. The bodices are knit separately, then sewn together; you then pick up stitches with your hook around the Empire line, and work the A-line lace skirt in one piece down to the hem. We love seeing knitting and crochet in one garment: it's like a special party trick, and this garment has the added bonus of being quite magically pretty. Neckline and armholes are finished with a bit of crochet too, just for polish. American crochet terminology.
