9015 Cardigan and Waistcoat
WEB EXCLUSIVE

Who else is a sucker for tiny little buttonbands and buttons on garments? We love their daintiness, and that quality is reinforced by the deep, gentle lace treatment at the hem (and cuffs, if you're making the cardigan). The cardi has set-in sleeves, but the waistcoat makes no allowance for armhole shaping at all; you just finish off the 'armholes' with a couple of rounds of garter stitch, to mirror the fronts. The lace/chevron pattern is terribly simple to work-- only two rows. Lovely in soft variegates or solids. Simply Recycled DK was introduced after this pattern, but would work beautifully too-- just get gauge.
