First you notice that there's about 2" of negative ease recommended here across the board. "This garment is designed to be very close-fitting and will stretch to give the fit shown in the photograph," says Sirdar primly. It's a very versatile piece that can look country or Victorian, and be worn as a vest in the winter. Summer Stripes DK had not been introduced when this pattern was released, but we think it would look great in that-- just get gauge.
