278 Neck Down Scoop Neck Cardigan

"A nice lightly shaped cardigan, knitted with light worsted or dk weight yarn at a gauge of 20 sts to 4 inches," reports Soucy. "Has 2x2 ribbed edges. Sizes x-small through x-large. Yarn shown is Balance by Vermont Organic Yarn." While the number of places you could wear a hoodie might conceivably be limited, we cannot think of where you could not wear some version of this beautiful piece-- to the opera at La Scala if it were done in cashmere; to the beach, in a cotton version; to teach a grade 4 class, in an alpaca blend. You'll just need six of them, is all.

Soucy offers a very detailed, illustrated knit-along guide to her top-down sweaters here.
