To our publishers and customers

[June 16, 2019] The site has now stopped selling patterns.

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 16 June, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

for Knitting Pure and Simple

253 Basic Hat and Mitten Set for Children

Soucy: "A simple hat and mitten set for children, it uses worsted weight yarn at a gauge of 20 sts to 4 inches. Knit in the round on circular and double point needles. Three hat styles, and sizes 2-4, 6-8, and 10-12."

How can Soucy make children look so elegant and refined? Imagine the yarns you could use; the young one could look dressed by Calvin Klein. For the flap hat, you make the flaps first, then incorporate them into a round and work up to the crown. Mittens are identical; there's no right or left hand-- 'handy' if they lose one-- just make a bunch the same and dole them out.
