9416 Cardigans

This has got to be one of the most carefree, becoming summer cardis ever. The wide rib gives a splendid fluid drape to the piece, and it has the fit benefit of slightly set-in sleeves, too. It's rated easy (and is), with no closure accommodations necessary; the front has 'bands' that are continued up from the neck separately from the body of the piece, then sewn down to join at the back of the neck. We love the petal-type flattery of the hemline at the fronts, and the short or long sleeve options.

This was a quick knit. The angled fronts threw me at first, but once I got the hang of it I was okay. I made the jacket a size smaller than I normally wear, the wide rib stretches (and the front hangs open).
