To our publishers and customers

[June 16, 2019] The site has now stopped selling patterns.

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 16 June, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

Gitta Schrade

for Naturally   c.2006

N1045 Cardigan
WEB EXCLUSIVE

It's hard to describe the magic of one of these cardis-- simple shape, open lacy fabric in this laceweight superfine kid mohair blend. The gauge is unfrightening, but the impact... you really have to see and feel it in person. It is not the easiest thing in the world to knit this yarn on this size of needle (the pointier the needle tip, the easier you'll find it), but again, the results are extraordinary. You'll notice that such things don't appear in ready-to-wear; machines can't knit them like we can. Schrade further refines things by adding back neck and shoulder shaping. There's no closure treatment at all; make it up if you need it.
