To our publishers and customers

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 31 May, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

Anna Lace Shawl

A lovely shawl, delicate and graceful, but not for rank beginners, even though every other row is purled. The body is begun with a provisional crochet cast on, and you work a 14 row high chart with an 8 stitch repeat. Then you put the completed shawl body stitches on a piece of scrap yarn and provisionally cast on for the border, and work the 22 row border chart, attaching it to the main body as you go (accommodation is made for the corners). After the border is completed, you weave its ends together with Kitchener stitch.
