SS2003-2 Cardigan

Remarkably straightforward, and yet chic beyond belief-- as much so now as at its debut in 2003. It's rated easy, and yet featured elements normally found only in couture knitting. Look how all the decreases at the fronts are done very well in from the edges; the armhole decreases and high sleeve caps are similarly well shaped, fully fashioned. The beautiful front edging is done of a piece with the rest of the fronts, so there's no separate finishing steps for that. (It does say to finish the right front "reversing shaping", but spells out how exactly to do that.) Closure options are many and just that... optional. Original yarn was 94% cotton, 6% nylon, 11 sts to 4"/10cm on a 6.5mm/US10.5 in st st; 49 yards/45 metres to 50g.
