Sandi Rosner

for Kollage Yarns   2010

3666 Concorde
WEB EXCLUSIVE

We're only familiar with VOGUE back to about 1976, but since then various flavours of tunics (or jumpers) have popped up in the fashion bible regularly. Here Rosner takes a magnificent yarn (70% alpaca/30% silk) and serves her tunic up in a very simple rib pattern that gives enormous depth to a plain silhouette; accommodations to current fads can be made under or over it, but the piece itself remains as much a classic as an Aran sweater. You can customize the length, of course, but there's a 10" slit down the left side for freedom of movement and a flash of leg. The cowl neck just adds more beautiful foldy texture. Shoulders and back neck are shaped; armholes beautifully cut.
