WP02 Wool Felt Jacket
This is almost as ancient a style as knitting can offer. In Europe, people have been knitting garments with felted bodies and unfelted sleeves for hundreds of years; the sleeves were subject to by far the most wear, so had to be replaceable. (While we say in English: "That's a horse of a different colour", in Italian they say "That's another pair of sleeves", for just this reason.) What you need to honour this tradition is an outstanding pattern, which this is. Rich in detail and practicality (collar and cuffs are doubled for extra warmth), this is a serious piece for knitting historians in cold climates. And it looks great, too. Gauge is given for body of garment, pre-felting.
