As jackets or cardigans go, this is an aristocrat. There is no unnecessary fuss or flub-dub; the back is plain st st, leaving only the fronts with the ability to stop onlookers in their tracks. It is a lot of bobbling, but you can use it as an opportunity to learn to knit back backwards (KBB)-- lots of instruction on the internet, and you'll be a richer knitter for it. And proper bobbles are one of the few things that knitting machines can have trouble with, so your round poppy ones mean that this exquisite set-in-sleeve piece is really, truly, handknitted. Short rows shape the shawl collar. And you know, it's just gorgeous. A DK variation is available here.
