Sugar Bear Hooded Cardi (6 months - 10 years)

This almost-seamless cardigan is worked from the bottom up, including the hood. The textured fabric and weight of this garment makes it suitable for fall or spring, and not too hot for those with mild winters. Use a slightly heavier yarn at gauge for a warmer sweater. Hood is shaped to fit the curve of the head, accentuated with ears on top! Ears can be easily skipped for older children if desired. Size up for a roomier fit. Shown in size 18 months.

I wish I'd known before I bought this that the yarn is $30 a skein. I'm sure I can find a substitute yarn, but the yarn color was one of the things I loved most about this sweater. It would cost me $120 to make this in the suggested yarn. Dissapointed but I'm still going to make the sweater.
