Deb Hoss

2010

Marlene

"This sweater is a slim-fitting, shaped pullover with a deep V-neck and three-quarter sleeves," says Hoss. "The hip and sleeve hems dip slightly at centers, echoing the side seams that follow body curves." This is a great, sleek, becoming, versatile garment. Front and back and sleeve hems are shaped with short rows; the waist and shoulders and back neck are shaped, too. The pattern is a joy, very professionally written. There's lots of welcome detail (shaping for left and right shoulders is given separately, for example), and Hoss provides selvage stitches for easier seaming. A smashing Patternfish debut.
