Trudy Van Stralen

for Louet North America   2006

"The brushed mohair gives this poncho an elegant look that will make a beautiful addition to any wardrobe," says Van Stralen. Normally we try to eschew any mention of personal bias, but we are slaves to mohair: brushed, unbrushed, any kind. And this fall all the fashion trends agree with us. The fluffy texture is indispensable for combining with denim, leather, metallics, silks-- and this is a gorgeous sweep of a garment, very easy to make all in garter stitch. Make it in a bold colour for this fall. Knit in two identical pieces from the bottom point up, then crocheted together.
