Trudy Van Stralen

for Louet North America   c.2009

"Our MerLin yarn and eyelet knitting combine to create this great-looking bolero jacket," says Van Stralen. "The body of the jacket is knit in one piece to the underarm, with the back shaping achieved through short-rowing. The jacket is finished off with I-cord trim." For sheer panache and come-hither attraction, this little piece is almost unbeatable. It's short, sharp, sexy, and yet delicately feminine and polished too; it cries out to be worn over something clingy. And it takes very little yarn to make such a big impact. Amply illustrated with diagrams explaining the short-rowing and other necessary techniques.
