1354 Open Work Dolman

As easy to make as it is alluring to look at. Porter has you start with a provisional cast on at the top of the back and work down to the hem, building in the short sleeves as you go. Hemline reached, you go back up to the top and pick up the provisionally cast on stitches, and knit down to the front hem. Neckline is essentially a slash/boat/Sabrina one, so back and front are virtually identical. Then you block and sew the side/underarm seams, and voila! Any old thing you wear under it acquires an air of seductive mystery. The stitch pattern itself is basically one line, and easier than falling asleep (but you can't hate purling).
