1410 Ribbed Shell and Bolero
WEB EXCLUSIVE

Elementary in many ways, yet Porter's sound judgment keeps these pieces beautiful and interesting. The shell has a sleek little shape (see the schematic in the data pages), with a lovely V neck (collar optional, of course). Porter recommends 4" - 6" of negative ease for the shell (this is pure mischief), but fits the bolero generously (4" - 6" of positive ease). The twisted rib guarantees lots of cling, shell-wise, and is suavely echoed in the bolero edgings. Bolero is worked in one piece from lower back to front hems.
