1902 Cardigans & Bonnet (birth to 7 years)
Pieces of such purity and timelessness that they could have been knitted by successive generations for the last thousand years. The shapes are simple, with that extra little pinafore fullness below the bodice, and a plain bonnet. The little 1 x 1 edgings have a tiny regular eyelet detail, and that's it for embellishment (if you omit the flower). We are excessively fond of things that would look at home in different ages-- in Dickensian London and medieval France, Puritan America-- and these pieces embody that quality. Armholes are curved, and sleeves have a slight cap.
