Midsummer's Aran

"Dropped stitches provide a great deal of impact with a minimum of effort," says Bylsma. "Don't worry that the body seems much too small as you work on it and the dropped stitches don't show. The stitches are dropped only when you bind off, and they will expand dramatically to provide the desired width and look." The shape is boxy-- there's no carving out of armholes, and the sleeve tops are flat-- but the dropped stitches provide such flow to the fabric that the garment just nestles around you.
