Kaleidoscope Mitts

"Gorgeous, fair isle fingerless mitts," says Allis (stating a bald fact only). "Worked in the round, these mittens feature a traditional Norwegian pattern." And if you look closely, you'll notice that Allis has done one mitt with a dark MC (main colour) and another with a light MC-- resulting in more interest and charm in the pair, fascinating knitting, and an exactly even use of dark and light yarns. Charts are large and easy to read. These are non-hand-specific; you make two exactly the same, so don't have to worry about alternate gusset placements and whatnot. Bonus: a pattern for matching socks is available here.
