Robin Melanson

Gothic Snowfall

In which Melanson offers a plethora of techniques to delight the knitter, and the results of which captivate the viewer. You begin with a 2-Color Shaker Rib in the round, and continue on up with the overall fair isle pattern (adding waist shaping as you go). At the armholes you put the body aside and work the sleeves. You then join the body and sleeves into a round and work raglan decrease shaping over the yoke. A generous, sensual 2-Color Shaker Rib collar finishes the piece. The only sewing is the underarm seams (hardly counts) and the kilt strap at the neckline. Unique and rich and compelling.
