Annie Dempsey

for Oat Couture   2003

EK705 Tropical Tee

"This wardrobe staple can be made to look casual or dressy depending upon your choice of yarn," reports Dempsey. And the field is wide open since the yarn shown in the photo is no longer available. Front and back are knitted complete (including sleeves) as two separate pieces, minimizing finishing: since Dempsey has you cast off the shoulders together, that leaves only the underarm and side seams to sew (and that's only one long seam for each side). So the drape is excellent, the shoulders are well-reinforced, and the two gauge options provide lots of value for the money.
