PH610 Seaside Blouse (Crochet)

"This casual summer top, featuring flattering side vents, can also be worn as a vest," says Dempsey. "The pieces are crocheted sideways in half double crochet stitch. Instructions are included for both sport and worsted weight yarn." This is a beautiful shape, somewhat conservative and yet flattering too; straight-sided, but with perfectly carved armholes and just enough of a front vent to give the illusion of waist shaping (there is none). The Trinity yarn shown was a nubbly silk/cotton/nylon DK weight, but there are lots of slubby silks in both DK/sport and worsted weights on the market to give the same pebbly, touchable look. American crochet terminology.
