Totempole Shell
Gorgeous, slidy, and relaxed, with none of the hoo-hah normally associated with lacework-- it's a very easy pattern, you can see where it's going, and there's absolutely no shaping to confuse you on the sides of the garment-- and the shaping for the neck is extremely simple. The sleevelet is picked up from the shoulder area and worked back and forth, with cunning bind-offs to form a kind of reverse sleeve cap shaping with way more ease than is usually the case. Underarm and sleeve seams are most of the finishing-- a little bit or crochet around the neck and sleeves is the rest of it.
