GU406 Port Orford Pullover

"A family favorite, this easy-to-knit pullover is reminiscent of a traditional guernsey," reports Dempsey. "Suitable for men or women, knit in DK or worsted weight." This is like an American cover of a British song: the essential elements are there (the use of garter stitch, especially along the armholes, for example, as well as the double moss stitch bodice) but with American directness and simplicity. Shoulders are drop, back neck unshaped, sleeve tops flat. An option is provided for a rolled hem if you prefer it to the twisted rib in the photo. We have yet to meet a guy who wouldn't like and wear this sweater; for women, it's a done deal.
