Trudy Van Stralen
for Louet North America c.2008
"This fun, ruffled skirt has a knit-in waistband casing," reports Van Stralen. "A round of purl stitches on the underskirt marks whre the stitches are picked up to knit the contrasting ruffles." A classic of its kind-- the peasant skirt has been a symbol of healthy femininity for centuries. Three lengths are provided, depending on how youthful your healthy femininity is. This model in particular is very bohemian; each ruffle has a different pattern, and as shown in the picture, each is a different colour as well-- though yardages are given for a single-colour version, too. A natural mate is this top.
