5456 Men's Balaclava, Ribbed Hat and Gloves

We're not sure of the original publication year, though it looks Bullitt-era (c. 1968) to us. But we're thrilled that Wendy has reprinted these pieces. A good balaclava is an occasional essential (Vivien Leigh knitted them for her first husband during WWII), a watchcap with a generous turnback is always a classic (though perhaps without the pompom), and these gloves-- textured as in the colour photo, or plain and full or short-fingered-- will never look stale. Timeless standbys, to make in a DK/8 ply so they won't take forever. All pieces are worked flat. Tension (gauge) varies. A generic DK gauge is given below; needle size may change, so check data page.
