Deb Barnhill

2009

Ramona Ruth (to 3 months)

"Ramona Ruth is a swingy little number for a newish baby," explains Barnhill. "Worked in a single skein of yarn and easy enough to complete in a few days, you'll love its special touches. A little twisted rib placket makes the neckhole large enough for the biggest of baby heads. With no need for buttons, this will be ready to wear straight off the needles (how welcome and wonderful is that?-- Ed.). The stitch pattern on the bottom skirt is adapted from the Tuscany pattern in Amy Singer's book No Sheep for You." Traditional in shape and yet very unusual in interpretation, this is a gorgeous piece for a young one.
