EK709 West Side Raglan
"Modern and chic, this raglan sleeve top is great for wearing to the office or on weekend getaways," says Dempsey. "Very easy to knit, the West Side Raglan requires minimal finishing. The pattern includes instructions for two weights of yarn, worsted and chunky." The pattern is completely written out once for each version. Now, 'chic' can be either over-the-top froufrou (Lacroix) or the subtlest simplicity (Narciso Rodriguez); this is decidedly, definitively, the latter. Dempsey kindly provides selvage stitches for seaming along relevant edges. This piece has the pure, monastic lines that would endear it to either Angelina Jolie or Joan of Arc.
