82435-2 Two Tone Jacket
How Hitchcock would have clamoured to dress his frosty blondes in this! A perfectly-judged neck, neither too high nor too low; waist and shoulder and back neck shaping; set-in sleeves. Avery was a tailor and costumer before coming to knitwear design, and that experience is evident everywhere here. The bottom edge is hemmed with a proper turning row; the buttonband is made in one long piece and sewn on doubled (don't worry, there are buttonholes on the inside facing and on the outside). Some stark staring simplicity and attention to detail, and you're practically starring in Vertigo. This is the second design from Reynolds booklet 82435.
