JCA Crafts

fw2005-16 Cozy Cardigan

Another lovely, untrendy, wear-anywhere classic from JCA Crafts. It's a pity the garment wasn't knit in a lighter yarn; the overall patterning is a combination of beautiful cables and checkerboards of double moss stitch. All the tailoring features are here: back neck and shoulder shaping, nicely curved armholes (cut a little high-- this is not a sloppy cardi) and a generous sleeve cap. Waist is unshaped so as to show off the cable patterning better, and give a more casual air to the piece. Original yarn was a magnificent thick-and-thin marl, 50% alpaca, 50% wool, 71 yards/65 metres to 50g. Gauge given is over double moss stitch.
