Kristin Nicholas

for Classic Elite Yarns   1991

358 Down at the O.K. Corral

Well, pardner, looks like designer Nicholas chose to introduce a little intarsia here around the edge of our favorite cardigan. Knit/purl diamonds add extra texture, too. The whole body's knitted in one piece and then split for the armholes. There's a bit of shaping at the armhole, like a squared-off drop shoulder, so it's kind of a hybrid of set-in and drop. The cover says Inca Alpaca is used, but the pattern only calls for Montera, so just go with that. Front bands are doubled and hemmed for strong wear and a smooth finish. Cowboys and cowgirls alike look great in it, so give it a try, willya?
