Compass Rose: A Sanquhar Glove

A design that is as authentic and traditional and rewarding as you can get, in a pattern as rich and lush and detailed as you could hope for. There is a history, a bibliography, and many helpful photos and charts (including the alphabet and numbers). You work from charts, with every stage helpfully explained in paragraphs. Not for the faint of heart or timid, but on completion, what an heirloom for your house! Densely knitted for durability. Gauges below are correct: the first gauge is for the smallest size (child's medium), and the second for the largest (man's large). 4 other sizes are available in between those extremes, all controlled by gauge and 3 or 4 ply yarn choice. Swatch instructions are provided.
