CH31 Child's Felt Jacket
"This pattern originated with an attempt to make a felt version of Elizabeth Zimmermann's Tomten Jacket," says Galeskas. "Many changes were made along the way, but I still need to thank Elizabeth for the original inspiration and Meg Swansen, for her approval and encouragement." With provenance like that, you wouldn't seem to need much more to proceed: and yet, this pattern is so carefully written and beautifully thought out, it's a wonder in and of itself. Made in one piece, with the sleeves picked up and knit down from the armholes, shoulders cast off together; the only sewing is folding the borders to the inside and tacking them down.
