Nursery Blocks Modular Baby Blanket

"Just the right size for bassinet or baby carrier, this modular project is fast and fun," says de Longpre. "Choose a space-dyed yarn, a single color, or mix several colors to create a one-of-a-kind heirloom." This is just stunning, and on a small scale, it's very quick and interesting to make. It rather reminds us of a soft fabric tray on which to serve up your baby to others for cuddles. The size makes it a wonderful travel blanket (and/or change pad-- it's machine washable!). A detailed schematic is included showing the order of the block construction, and the instructions are clear and precise. Picot edging is picked up and knitted on in the round.
