CH9e A Berry Cute Hat

'Fruit caps', when they first appeared, started a very niche-y fashion that has never died down. Fiber Trends has produced some of the best of the genre, including this gem meant to evoke a raspberry. There's nothing with more darling appeal for your little one's head, and if you have guts and a great sense of humour, you can make one for yourself too. The 'berry' pattern is much easier than you'd think, and ingenious, and the green border is a snap to make as well. The garter stitch band is worked with worsted weight yarn doubled (the rest of the hat is worked with a single strand), and that's how the gauge is given here. Matching mittens are available here.
