18-7 Sweater with Yoke

We have always adored the Icelandic yoke sweater style. Their comfort and unique ease of knitting make them legendary. This one is less traditional than some, more modern and with more finesse in design. For those unfamiliar with them, the body and sleeves are knitted separately in the round, then joined at the underarm and finished circularly. This masterful yoke is all natural motifs based on leaves and snowflakes and flowers; the leaves twine around the wrists and hips. This is Design 7 from Lopi Book 18 (number may vary). A cardigan version, 18-8, is available here in a knit-flat or steeked version.
